A little taste of Skagen

30 June, 2014

Right now I'm writing from my little room in Skagen, Denmark. We are situated right in the town center with cute, yellow brick houses and rose gardens on every corner. We haven't done much else than explore the area for now, and had some heavenly Skagen fish soup.

When I did a school trip to Skagen in upper middle school, the town didn't make much impression on me at all. I wasn't too much into photography then, and my head was too preoccupied with teenage girls' issues in order to enjoy the beautiful art made by artists that lived in Skagen throughout the centuries.

I'm so happy to have gotten a chance to come back here. More photos to come.

Loving Lately

26 June, 2014

1.-3. My moms garden in the summer.
4. It's wedding season! I'll be photographing one of my closest's friends Wedding this year. This time hopefully I'll remember to take the picture before I eat the soup.
5. These "Cats who forgot how to cat" made me laugh to my tears.
6. The fact that it's Thursday, and in two days I am going to this beautiful place in Denmark for a week together with Sigurd's family.

What are you loving lately?

Oslo scenes and good things

14 June, 2014

I have been eager to get this post up for quite a while. These pictures were taken last weekend - the weather was stunning and because of Whit Monday we had even one extra day to enjoy it.

Scenes from Oslo:

Pictures 1-4. It took me quite some years of exposure to sea water for it to be (nearly) demystified for me. The idea of life at sea has grown on me slowly, and at times I am completely smitten by it. The things I enjoy most about the place where we live these days is being able to walk from our home to sea sides and beaches in no time.

Picture 5. The sunset seen from what must be probably the strangest park in Europe - the one full of statues of naked people doing all these funny poses. Welcome to Oslo!

Picture 6. My beau. The sunset.

Good things lately (inspired by Astrid) :

This talk with designer Jessica Walsh (I just love how such successful people can stay so humble)

The funnies goat of the week.

Finally getting into doing meditation (and yoga) again.

Working on a project I absolutely love. For this lovely lady

Hedmark part two

04 June, 2014

Some days in Hedmark are really, really beautiful. Like when we visited Helgøya Island and went for an evening walk in the glorious sunset. Summer evenings in Hedmark are the best.

A Lovely Farm in Hedmark

03 June, 2014

Four days at one of my best friends place in Hedmark had pretty much everything a perfect short vacation should have: bike rides, long walks, sightseeing and evening dinners outside with wine and home-brewed beer. It was a much needed brake before some busy weeks at work.

Coming here was one of the things on a long list of things that I've always wanted to do, but that had until this weekend, only been in my mind. I love that I can finally pursue these small plans of mine.

More to come soon.
