I have to admit something. This big city is for me, not the most inspiring place to take pictures. Usually everything seems so unaffected and unemotional to me. But that being said, not a day goes by without me searching for its charm. Right now I see vintage bicycles and rustic walls, and I like how they are so different here than from Europe. I see fresh vegetables for a quarter of the prices that we have in Norway.
Oh, and I forgot to mention one more important thing: the cafes. Both with their cozy interiors and their magnificent, elaborate dishes. They can only be found in this abundance here in New York. I would start feeling sad about going back to Norway in a couple of days. But if everything works out right I'll be back in New York in April! I'll give you the details when everything is certain.
Recently I also rediscovered
this gem of a blog that makes me want to visit Paris in an instant.
Thanks for sharing the blog - beautiful
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have more "american style" cafes here, in Europe. I live in Italy, and beside the beliefs and stereotyps there is lack of cozy cafes where you can sit and enjoy your hot beverage and good conversation with friend. Mostly of them even haven't a table, just a bar. If by miracle you find something more cozy than a bar, you might pay an extracharge for sitting and using a table.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your american life bits :)
There are definitely an abundance of a lot of cozy cafes here! Although I've been in Italy as well and I must say that I absolutely LOVED those too :) Thank you for dropping by!
DeleteI always wish and crave for new cafes here in Porto,i get tired of going to the same places all the time and i can always spot what could been made for the cafe be a better spot or food, ahaha
ReplyDeleteI think i can understand what you say about not feeling affected by the city to take photos...i feel that a lot at home and the 'usual places where i take more pictures, like i go all numb and can see beauty anywhere!
