This is the strangest October. The leaves don't seem to ever get ready to fall from their trees. When I leave for school in the morning, with my heavy sweater on, the air is clear and cool. When I return, I'm all sweat. I eat the sweetest tomatoes, now in October. It feels like fall will never come. I'm going to Algarve for the weekend and they reminded us to take with us bikinis and beach towels. It is really the strangest thing.
Also I'm counting the days until Sigurd will be here. It's been already one month since we saw each other. We have another 22 days left. I'm making every effort at keeping myself busy, just to avoid contemplating about it too much.

I know how you feel.. our leaves are starting to change color but it still isn't sweater season yet.. i still see people in tanks and shorts.

ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of your warm days! It's chilly here, which is nice, but I would like to go swimming outside and not get hypothermia. And I feel for you not living in the same country as your love, I was once with a boy for five years and we never once lived in the same city. It was bittersweet. But I think you will soon end up in the same place?
ReplyDeleteWe're just starting to see changing leaves and some cooler weather, but today it's back up to sweaty temps. I don't even try to understand the weather anymore! :-/

ReplyDeleteI noticed the same thing! In another city all leaves are orange, but in my city it doesn't seem to change color or fall off. Kind of frustrating if you want to make photo's for fall.

ReplyDeletetoday winter is so present,everything is grey here in Porto but last week i felt the same way,did not know what to dress in the morning,always very confused about the constant alternation between hot and cold!
