This was the first stop on our weekend trip that started this Friday. With uplifting white buildings everywhere and spectacular traces from the Roman era, this charming town of
Évora must be the one of the prettiest in all of Portugal. Me and
Paulina got lost in it, and enjoyed it. An impression that will stay with me forever is eating roasted chestnuts. It gave me that first feeling of fall. I had never tried them before, but they were delicious.
How was your weekend?
I just had roasted chestnuts this sunday!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy flatmate collected some by the river and roasted them in our oven...amazing!!

Just beautiful! Some day, if you choose to have children and find that all the travel isn't quite so easy anymore (as I do), you will have such beautiful memories of these times!
ReplyDeleteThe streets look so lovely! As I am, by descent from Goa, & Portugal ruled Goa for many years, I feel like some of my roots & culture are in Portugal. And I've never had chestnuts but now I'm curious! :)
ReplyDeleteeating roasted chestnuts in the street is a Autumn classic here in Portugal :)
