I wander around in this city and wonder whether when I'll stop feeling like I'm on a vacation. The sounds, smells and views pervade my mind and is all I can seem to feel, think of and dream of nowadays. I know that they are trying to establish themselves in the unconscious part of my mind as the new "normal".
I've found an apartment. I've finished "Animal Dreams" by Barbara Kingsolver. I've listened to this, while walking up and down the streets of Lisbon.

beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Lisbon has just shot to the top of my "must visit list".
ReplyDeleteI'm often trying to recapture this feeling of newness because when things getting normal it is often that you loose your curious eyes - so maybe you should try to enjoy it... Ah, and another recommendation is : Night train to Lisbon, a wonderful book...
ReplyDeleteAll the very best for your "settling in" :)

You've moved to Lisbon?? I didn't realize! What are you doing there? I definitely know the feeling of living in a hostel while looking for an apartment... but I have a feeling that the hostels of Lisbon in September are warmer than those in Cork (Ireland) in January...
