I was giddy all yesterday about my beautiful, new blouse (which btw costed a small fortune and was 70% off). Right until I remembered
someone saying " Be happy for no reason. If you are happy for a reason, that reason can easily be taken away from you" - or something like that. So I decided to do that the rest of the day and today. Be happy for no reason, which to me sounded a little bit similar to be happy about any thing. Blouse or non-blouse, throwing away old stuff in our attic, the feeling of the clear, cool autumn air and warmth of the sun and the misty look over the hills when the fog comes in. Or just whatever I am able to feel, see or think in a particular moment. Sometimes that gratefulness for living comes so naturally, that I wonder why I had ever had troubles with it.
What a beautiful and inspiring saying. As well as some beautiful photos of things to be happy about :) Thanks for sharing friend.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture of that fog! We don't get many foggy days here and it just looks so calming.

ReplyDeleteHow on earth did you get that fog shot?? I spent several hours on a mountain trying to capture the rolling fog below only to be graced with nearly all-white images. Such a bummer...
ReplyDeleteThat first photo looks almost unreal!
