When running errands today, I just couldn't avoid to take a closer look at the growing sea of roses in front of the court house. The trial of the terrorist killing 77 people last summer has made people to lay down roses as a sign of compassion for the victims' relatives. It's completely heartwarming to see how many people have done this. Noticing a couple of young girls lighting a candle and hugging each other, it was hard to hold back the tears.

This is beautiful but heartbreaking as well. :'(
ReplyDeleteWow, such a beautiful display to come out of such a tragic event. xx
ReplyDeleteSo senseless. Such a sad, sad shame.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to the many families and friends of the victims awaiting justice right now xox
My heart breaks and my prayers go to those families. I'm almost crying here. This makes me think of what I would do if something like this were to happen to someone I love. I agree with Katrina, so senseless and sad.
ReplyDeleteAt first I saw those roses and my mouth was watering (funny metaphor but apt) because they were so beautiful. And then I realized what they were for, and the visual becomes so bittersweet. I have been thinking about those families and the victims too as the trial has been progressing. I suppose a little (tiny) part of my heart goes out to the murderer.
ReplyDeleteSending all the families my love and prayers, I cannot imagine what they are going through!!!!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
So lovely & touching. Beautiful. But so sad that that tragedy even happened.
Oh my gracious roses! What the smell must have been like.........HEAVENLY!
