Even if I've only been here a day, San Francisco has already surpassed almost all my expectations. The city is just as colorful and cheery as I imagined. So far, the weather has not been on our side, but hopefully it will all change by tomorrow.
I've realized how great it feels to be back in the United States in general. I don't know if there is any other culture where people are this forthcoming. Just saying "Good Morning" to strangers on the street is such an unfamiliar thing to do in Norway. But I love it. I feel like I have a lot to learn from the american way of being.
15 more days are to come here in San Francisco.

Beautiful pictures, as usual! I'm so jealous, I've never been to San Francisco, but my mom sorta grew up there and she talks about it like it's the best place on earth! I've always wanted to go. Have fun! Can't wait to read about your adventures :)

ReplyDeletewhere i live it's custom to walk into a room (like the postoffice) and say 'good morning' to everyone. it's normally how i tell if someone lives here or is just visiting is if they greet you (even if they don't want to talk.) i love it too!!!

ReplyDeleteYay! That's so great. You know, I also think that people in the US are super nice. But there are so many Californians who think that people here aren't friendly. I think it's "the grass is greener" syndrome.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours in the first picture! San Francisco is one of the places high on my to-go wish list. Nobody says Good Morning here in Britain, but people do where I am from in Northern Germany!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! You are the third blogger like me that has been to San Fran this last week! Oh my goodness, we were there at the same time! When I saw your most recent post I thought "those look similar to my pics" but then I thought you do live in Europe, most likely it's an area near you, but then I read further and you visited San Fran!!! Wow we should compare what we did, how cool, your pics look amazing, can't wait to share mine!!! Isn't it an incredible city!!!??
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS first picture! Wow, I want to frame that and put it on my wall!
