Letting it go

26 November, 2011

Today I got some disappointing news. Earlier this semester, a couple of my friends and I applied for a study program for innovation hosted by a several universities, including my own. It would give us the chance to go to the U.S. for three months, earn a semester with credits and get a little work experience on top of it all. I felt I had the perfect resume and I so badly wanted to go, but I wasn't accepted.

Oh, if only we could let these things go more easily... Anyway. I wanted to say to all my fellow readers in the United States: a happy Thanksgiving! I wish we had that holiday everywhere. We could really use a day where we could reflect upon our blessings, especially here in such a rich country as we are. Thanksgiving is such a beautiful tradition, because there is always so much to be thankful of! It's worthy a day of celebrating!

I'm endlessly thankful for the fact that me, my closest family and all my friends are all healthy. Nothing is more important to me than that!

Sorry you didn't get into your study abroad program, but everything happens or a reason, and I bet there are even better things awaiting you!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! :) Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday here in the states. Gives us Americans a reason to eat as much as we want and not feel guilty about it LOL

  9. I know that is a downer but her, perhaps you have better choices up there, we never know why this happens, so the thing that is meant to you will come to you!
